Jean-Louis Frechin
About the designer

Jean-Louis Frechin is a pioneer of digital design and a key figure in European design. A graduate of the École Nationale d’Architecture de Paris-Villemin and the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI), he has taught at the École Supérieure d’Art et Design d’Amiens, as well as at ENSCI Les Ateliers, where he founded the Digital Design Workshop and the FabLab workshop.

Since 2001, he has led NoDesign, a design and innovation agency. There, he creates what he calls “neo-objects”: objects capable of producing, collecting, or transmitting information, and reacting to various forms of data within industrial, cultural, or research projects.
