Studio Vantot
About the designers

Partners in both life and work, Esther and Sam graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven and founded their studio in Eindhoven in 2014. Their field of expertise is light. They develop their luminaires down to the finest detail. They do more than design: they build prototypes and produce the pieces themselves, driven by a shared passion for mechanics and movement. Their mathematical approach to design leads them to construct by challenging the obvious, reinventing objects in the process.

When asked what inspires them, their answer is simple: “Everything! We’re curious. Observing the world inspires us.” And yet their luminaires seem to invite journeys aboard spacecraft, exploring our galaxy. In the presence of a VVV “Curtain,” beyond its timeless elegance, a powerful energy emerges. Speed and power take possession of the void.
