DCW ÉDITIONS IN VENICE - Cloister of the Madonna dell’Orto
Until July 20th, DCW éditions arrives in Venice, in the cloister of the Madonna dell’Orto. This Gothic church dedicated to Saint Matthew, patron saint of travelers, houses the treasures of Tintoretto.
Alongside the Venice Architecture Biennale, under the direction of Carole de Bona, the first edition of Bel ouvrage is opening. At her invitation, about fifteen contemporary creators with exceptional craftsmanship are resonating with Venetian Renaissance architecture: Sophie Dries, Flavie Audi, Marco Lavit, Ramy Fischler, Andrée Putman Studio, Pierre Bonnefille, Philippe Coudray, DCW éditions and 10 HEURES 10.
Meet us at Chiostro Madonna dell'Orto, Cannaregio 3512
Free entry, every day except Sunday, from 11 am to 7 pm.
A bold way of embodying, in material form, a shared standard of craftsmanship. In this cloister, Bel ouvrage unfolds an airy scenography, between transparency and opacity, light and shadow. Beauty plays here, surprising us as it bursts forth from the alcoves of history.
For DCW éditions, it felt natural to reaffirm our way of seeing things here.
Our objects are rooted in the past and projected into the future. As the publisher’s motto goes: well thought out, well designed, well made. And in Venice—a city built entirely on the invention of traditions—Bel ouvrage’s proposal seems to resonate perfectly.
Our 10 HEURES 10 brand is also present. The Iris Pendant Vertical lamps are displayed on the centuries-old walls of the Cloister. An airy scenography where the Iris pendant lights—powerful and dense—sculpt the light and furnish the space.
