About the designer

Jacques Biny was a leading French lighting designer of theTrente Glorieusesperiod. Unlike many of his contemporaries, he was also a publisher and industrial manufacturer, collaborating with some of the most talented emerging designers of his time, including Michel Buffet, Gustave Gauthier, Jean Boris Lacroix and Charles Ramos. Together, they embarked on the adventure of modern industrial lighting, pioneering the production of contemporary lighting in series.
